Terms of Use
The short version
- Takvim is free. You need to be 13 or older to use it.
- Prayer times are calculated. Check them against your local mosque; Takvim is not a religious authority.
- Use Takvim lawfully and don’t misuse our service.
- You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app.
1. Agreement
These Terms are an agreement between you and Makhmudjon Inadullaev, the independent developer who makes Takvim under the name Siymo (“we”, “us”). By using Takvim you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Takvim.
2. Who can use Takvim
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use Takvim with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. What Takvim is
Takvim helps you keep track of your five daily prayers, qada, Sunnah habits and daily plans. It calculates prayer times on your phone, reminds you of them, and backs up your records to your account so you can use them on your other phones. Takvim is free. Features may be added, changed or removed over time.
4. Prayer times and religious content
- Prayer times are calculated from astronomical formulas, your location and the method you choose. They can differ from your local mosque or official timetables, especially at high latitudes. Check them, and adjust the method or the minutes in Profile → Prayer times.
- Hijri dates are calculated and may differ by a day from local moon sighting. You can adjust them in the app.
- Takvim does not give religious rulings. For questions about your obligations, ask a qualified scholar.
- Reminders depend on your phone’s settings, battery and permissions, and may arrive late or not at all. Don’t rely on them alone.
5. Your account
- You can use Takvim as a guest, or sign in with Google, Apple (on iPhone) or your phone number.
- Keep your phone and your sign-in methods secure. Your account is personal; don’t share it.
- Whoever controls a phone number can sign in to the account tied to it. If you give up a number, delete the account first or tell us.
- A guest account lives only on the phone that created it. If you remove the app without signing in, we can’t restore it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or anyone’s rights while using Takvim;
- attack, overload or interfere with our service, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission;
- misuse phone sign-in or feedback, for example by sending spam, automated requests or abusive messages;
- access our service with anything other than the official apps;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
7. Your content and feedback
Your records, notes and names are yours. You give us a limited permission to store and process them only to run Takvim for you; it ends when you delete them or your account. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Takvim without owing you anything.
8. Other companies’ services
Takvim relies on services from other companies, such as your phone’s operating system, Google, Apple, Cloudflare and your mobile carrier. Their terms apply to their services. Sending a text message to sign in may cost your carrier’s usual SMS rate. We are not responsible for services we don’t control.
9. App stores
Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for Takvim or its support. If you got Takvim from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where it gives Apple rights, Apple may enforce them. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.
10. Changes, suspension and ending
- You can stop using Takvim and delete your account at any time (see Delete your account).
- We may suspend or end access to our service if you break these Terms, if it is needed to protect people or the service, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
- We may change these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Takvim after that, the new Terms apply; if you don’t agree, delete your account.
11. Our rights
Takvim, its name, design and software belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the official apps for their purpose. The fonts (Manrope and Literata) and other open-source parts are used under their own licences.
12. Warranty and liability
Takvim is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties, including about the accuracy of prayer times, Hijri dates or reminders, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or for relying on the app’s times or reminders. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer that cannot be waived.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We will try to resolve any dispute with you in good faith first. Disputes that can’t be resolved go to the competent courts of Tashkent, without affecting any mandatory right you have to bring a claim where you live.
